Questions to Ask Yourself Before You Buy a Home
In this short video, I will talk about the four questions I think anyone considering purchasing a home should ask themselves prior to beginning the process.
Amy is constantly looking to make the experience of buying or selling a home exceptional for the people involved.
Choosing a real estate broker is about choosing a professional person that you can connect with to help you achieve your goals. Here’s a bit about Amy Price to help you decide if she might be the right person to help you:
Amy was born and raised in Albany, OR. After a short time serving in the U.S. Air Force and about ten years of living out of state in CA, TX,
Amy’s husband, Gary Neperud, is also a real estate broker. With his background as a contractor,
property manager and a paramedic, he is the perfect compliment to assist her with the real estate
business. In their spare time, they love to travel, hike in the gorgeous Oregon terrain, attend fitness
classes, volunteer with children in their church, go wine tasting in the beautiful Willamette Valley wine country, and spend time with their family and friends.
As a single mother, she had been working to support her children in a job that was very physically taxing for and inflexible with her schedule for the needs of her kiddos. She loved her job and the people she worked with and for, but the ceiling was low, and it just wasn’t the right “fit” for her. When a long-time, dear friend suggested that she investigate real estate as a career path, Amy did just that. She signed up for a pre-licensing course through Norm Webb Real Estate school and moved forward from there.
Initially, she was working both her full-time job and selling real estate in the remaining hours, but that proved too much for her schedule. So, when a position became available to work for one of the area’s top builders, Amy jumped on it. After two years, working with the builder and getting hundreds of real estate transactions under her belt, she left there and hung her real estate license again with Coldwell Banker Valley Brokers where she is able to work in a myriad of types of real estate transactions.
The national name of Coldwell Banker has given Amy a lot of opportunities for training and growth as well as some wonderful tools to use in assisting her with her business. She was able to sell and support her family even in the down market of 2008. During that market, Amy also earned her Principal Broker license and began a management position within the office. This has given her so much opportunity for growth as well. She has seen thousands of real estate contracts and helped brokers within the organization work through multiple negotiations and “issues” that pop up during real estate transactions.
As an office manager that also lists and sells properties, Amy feels that she is better able to provide support to the brokers in her office. It’s difficult to guide somebody through an environment in which you have no or little experience. Having represented both buyers and sellers with many different types of real estate transactions from new construction to historic homes, small farms and even a bit of commercial real estate, Amy is able to provide much needed support to her clients as well as to other brokers she works with.
If you are thinking of buying, selling or you just have questions about the market, feel free to reach out to Amy. She’d always be happy to discuss real estate possibilities with you.
